![]() ![]() ![]() Naruto was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014, with its chapters collected in 72 tankōbon volumes. The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto: Karakuri (1995), which earned Kishimoto an honorable mention in Shueisha's monthly Hop Step Award the following year, and Naruto (1997). The story is told in two parts-the first set in Naruto's pre-teen years, and the second in his teens. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. It was cool to feature circus performers (especially the animals!) as side characters who contribute to the final fight.Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. I do like how that crescent island kingdom is drawn. It's been too long since I've watched "Naruto" so I was glad to finally see him in action again. I really do like the villain's powers too, with the ability to turn people into stone. The best part was probably the animation. Little do most of them know, he's the son of the hokage! It was nice to see Rock Lee even if he's not quite that useful. Weird how everyone's mad at Naruto mistreating the son of a prince. The prince's son is pretty annoying at first, but he does get better later. Still, Naruto has never really given us a terrible movie and this definitely has its good points. We spend too much time setting up the prince's son and too late to introduce the villains. I think the biggest fault with this film is how it's paced. Looking at the many "Naruto" movies, I came across this one and found it to have the lowest score on the IMDb, but you know what? It's still by no means terrible. ![]()
